Community Support Program - Focus on Recovery (CSP-FOR) is a state certified CSP with offices at Community Corner Clubhouse. This CSP gives Marathon County an opportunity to specialize services with staff trained to work with the older adult. CSP-FOR provides comprehensive, community based treatment and rehabilitation services to adults with serious and persistent mental illness. The emphasis is on fostering a positive culture of healing, and to provide individualized services that promote recovery. Services are provided on a 24/7 days a week basis. Vocational Services Vocational Services provides a variety of unique employment services to persons who, because of disabilities, need ongoing support services in the competitive workforce. Staff provides employment services to both the employee and the employer. These services include recruitment, matching an employee to tasks and duties within a company, assistance in training the employee, consulting with co-workers/mentors in working most effectively with the employer to allow greater awareness of specific disabilities and possible workplace adaptations, and assisting the disabled individual in work related needs. Vocational Services supports consumers in reaching their goal of successful competitive employment, and in the past 20 years has worked with over 300 consumers. There are 100 Marathon County participating employers, and a wide variety of job titles represented, such as cleaner, office clerk, dishwasher, food prep, production assistant, and assembler. Vocational Services is designed to be very individualized and strives to meet the needs of each consumer in assisting them to reach their employment goals. Vocational Services contracts with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and works cooperatively with that program, the Job Center, and case management programs in providing quality employment services. Supported Housing Integration Program (SHIP) SHIP serves clients throughout the City of Wausau, seven days a week. Its focus is to facilitate transitions to, and maintenance of, independent living placements for adults who wish to move into apartment living. For each individual referred to the program, a Functional Needs Assessment is completed. Staff works directly with clients providing support services in the areas of activities of daily living, medication monitoring, symptom assessment, and problem solving. The level of services that each consumer receives is person specific, and is adjusted according to their changing needs. Mental Health Outreach The Mental Health Outreach Program provides comprehensive targeted case management services to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness living in the community. The services include coordination and referral and/or assistance with financial, legal, housing, medical, vocational, and educational needs, as well as crisis intervention. Staff psychiatrists and registered nurses provided medication management. Licensed therapists offer group and individual therapy, and vocational specialists assist with employment issues. Working in a collaborative effort with consumers and with other programs, our staff promotes, encourages and supports the goal of integrating our clients into the mainstream of community life. This is accomplished through medication and symptom management, employment and independent living.
