Our community is constantly changing and so are the needs of the people in our community. North Central Health Care offers a state certified outpatient clinic that provides a variety of outpatient mental health services to address a diverse range of issues, including couples, marital, family and individual counseling; abuse; addiction; trauma; anxiety; depression; schizophrenia and biopolar disorder. Our staff is comprised of a variety of skilled professionals — counselors, marriage and family therapists, clinical social workers, psychiatrists, psychologists, and nurses. We work with children and adults and can provide assessments and evaluations, as well medication management for those individuals receiving psychiatric support.

The Anger Management group helps individuals dealing with both substance abuse and anger management issues. The group helps you to learn to manage anger effectively, stop violence or the threat of violence, develop self control over thoughts and actions and receive support from others using a Cognitive Behavioral Approach.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an open group that addresses an individual’s mental health symptoms, helping clients develop new skills and improved capability to manage their illnesses. The group teaches breathing retraining to help clients to relax in stressful situations and regain control over anxiety; patient education on psychiatric disorders, to help clients recognize symptoms and deal with problems in a more straightforward and effective way; cognitive restructuring to help clients learn how to identify, challenge and modify negative thoughts and beliefs that cause distress; and a practice component to increase development of these skills and ability to use skills after treatment ends.
