A Crisis Can Happen Anywhere

The North Central Health Care state certified Mobile Crisis Team can come to you if you or a loved one are having a mental health emergency and cannot make it to the Crisis Center. We help avert a crisis, de-escalate a situation, provide anonymous in-person and telephone counseling, and offer community based options that may help prevent an inpatient psychiatric hospitalization.

Our team is comprised of psychiatrists, master level clinicians, registered nurses and staff specially trained in emergency/crisis services. They will help you through the immediate crisis and stand by you in the future to ensure you receive the care you need going forward.

Mobile Crisis Teams are available 24/7 by calling North Central Health Care Crisis Services at 1.800.799.0122.

When is Mobile Crisis Team Needed?

A mobile crisis team is often called in when a person is having a mental crisis and is unable or refusing to go to a crisis center. Common situations include those where the person is contemplating suicide or talking about hurting others. Mobile crisis teams are also called in when a person is acting irrationally as a result of drug or alcohol abuse. Another situation is when a parent and child are in a heated argument and neither side seems like it will calm down in the near future.

These are just a few examples of situations where a mobile crisis team is needed—it is by no means an exhaustive list. Contact our mobile crisis team if you are concerned that you or someone you love needs help and are unable to move from your current location.
