Happy Volunteer Appreciation Week from NCHC
We want to express our deepest appreciation for all our volunteers who have given their hearts to North Central Health Care, our programs, our staff and to all those we serve. In 2019, we had 217 active volunteers who contributed a total of 12,327 hours of time. That is an average of 237 hours per week, or almost 34 hours of volunteering every day! This past year we welcomed 42 new volunteers as well. The one number that is impossible to measure and share with all of you, is the amount of joy you bring to all those we serve and to our team at North Central Health Care. Numbers can’t measure the smiles you bring and hearts that you warm by volunteering.
You have contributed with numerous activities at our nursing homes. You volunteer in our Gift Shop and Beauty Shop at Mount View Care Center. You operate our Canteen on the Wausau Campus. And you assist in ride alongs with residents to keep them company on their medical appointment. There are so many activities to list from escorting residents to the fun outings, to playing Bingo, to family picnics, and the list goes on and on.
We are blessed to have such amazing volunteers who are so generous in giving their time, talents and dedication to NCHC and those we serve. We can’t thank you enough for your generosity.
